https://www.telegraph.co.uk/swimming/2019/09/12/teenage-swimmer-disqualified-looked-swimsuit-far-familiar-example/ Wondered if anyone else has seen this story? The teenager won her swimming race but was disqualified for “wearing her swimsuit in a revealing way”. And it was a uniform swimsuit - all the other swimmers were wearing the same swimsuit. It’s gathered a lot of attention (and rightly so) and the decision has been revoked but things like this STILL shock me at how women are judged for the way they look firstly, and then their sporting achievement secondly. Its also on the same vein as when I was looking for a sport swimming costume and unable to find anything that fit or covered me - the sports clothing industry isn’t very “all inclusive” it feels 🤷🏻‍♀️
